our history | For over a decade, pop design group has been creating acclaimed hospitality, residential and recreational design projects throughout Western Canada. Building on this success, in 2009, we opened our second office in Los Angeles, California. Focusing on stylish, smart interior design, our expertise and talents have enriched the vision for many residential & multi-family designs, seniors’ residences, restaurant & hospitality destinations, night clubs, corporate, medical, retail & recreational facilities. Over the years, we have created customized interiors from traditional to transitional, country to modern and every expression in between.

our principal | Julie Okamura is the founder of pop design group. Since 1993, Julie has led talented teams on design projects from Calgary to Los Angeles. Julie’s effervescent attitude and outstanding ability to oversee and inspire a variety of design projects has enriched her perspective and attracted a host of talented designers and specialists. Julie’s sophisticated taste and fashion forward approach also drives the branding for pop design group. A passionate leader, Julie is directly involved with clients from Calgary to Los Angeles, ensuring their projects are streamlined, stunning and on budget. Her design teams are filled with talented creative thinkers who are dedicated to delivering inspired design ideas that make each project truly pop.
