Deric Schmidt of In Ex Design has over 30 years of experience in the interior and exterior design field. In Ex Design focuses on creating eco friendly, sustainable “green”, and healthy interior and exterior spaces in the residential and commercial realms. Awards & Publications

Deric Schmidt has participated in numerous Los Angeles area charitable showcase houses and ASID community service projects. His current community service project is designing the premier Medical Clinic for the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles which is a LEED Silver project. Published in California Home in Fall 2007. Deric has served on the Board of Directors for ASID, Los Angeles, is a member of the USGBC-Los Angeles, is certified by the Sustainable Furnishings Council as a GREEN AP (accredited professional) and has received special award recognition by ASID Los Angeles chapter presidents. Deric has been honored with community beautification awards from the Cities of Glendale and Grover Beach, California and is the 2011 recipient of the prestigious ASID Edna O'Brien award as Outstanding Allied Member.
