For decades, Blakeley-Bazeley, LTD. has created a variety of incomparable interior environments emphasizing European and Asian design concepts. The firm’s principal designer, James Blakeley III, ASID is also an educator and former president of the Los Angeles ASID Chapter. On design, he explains, “A refined use of space is to design a ‘box within a box’. Sound design creates a focal point to a room, a visual definition about its use and purpose. That one particular area must stand alone in its integrity, yet all of the elements should combine into a seamless, cohesive vocabulary that supports its ‘raison d’etre’ when the entire project is viewed as a whole.”
