Designer Profile

Sheryl Fleischer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from State University of New York at Cortland in 1972. After moving to Los Angeles in the early 1970’s, Ms. Fleischer studied Interior Design at UCLA Extension. She was subsequently employed as an interior designer at Gensler and Associates from 1978-1980. In 1995, after taking a leave of absence to raise her two daughters, she founded Square One Design, where she continues to produce inspirational living spaces throughout the Los Angeles area. She is at ease with all varieties of both traditional and contemporary design. In 2003 Sheryl became a Professional Member of ASID.

Over the last two years Ms. Fleischer has been studying sustainable design practices. She has recently become a LEED AP and is a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.

We then actively partner to actualize their vision in an atmosphere of clear communication, careful decision making, and mutual trust and respect.

It is always my great satisfaction to create an ideal space for my clients, one of easy functionality that is truly in harmony with their personal sensibilities and lifestyle.

Square One Design is a full-service design company. In addition to residential projects, we work on small offices, town houses and condos.
We also work with our clients on their residential exteriors including the landscaping,paint color selection, water features and other exterior elements.

Sheryl Fleischer is an editor for LA Design Magazine.
She is currently on the Board of Directors for ASID LA as Director of Professional Development.
Sheryl is also part of the Educational Committee for The Institute of Classical Architecture and The Arts.
