Ivan Beardsley, ASID is a senior partner and creative director of the award winning firm of BEARDSLEY/WEISS LLC. With an emphasis on art and adventuresome style, they provide creative consultation services for interior design, architecture, structural engineering, landscape planning, estate management, custom lighting and furniture design.
With client driven goals, BEARDSLEY/WEISS LLC design specialties include expert execution of residences, vacation retreats, corporate office space, medical office space, retail outlets and boutique stores. Special projects have included car dealerships, restaurants, churches and sanctuaries, custom furniture and product design.
Mr. Beardsley, partner of the multi-faceted design team, is a winner of numerous design awards including Sunset Magazine of Western Living/ASID, First Place residential awards in two categories for the best use of color and most compelling single space. Another First Place Award granted by ASID-California Los Angeles for Commercial Design was acquired for a 10,000 square foot sanctuary for the New Harvest Christian Fellowship commission.
Mr. Beardsley is a previous president of ASID-California Los Angeles and has lectured with the UCLA Extension University on "The Emerging Electronic Home Office" and "Designing for the Client". Mr. Beardsley has been a regular contributing editor to several design magazines with editorials on technology and the design process; and he was, for ten years, the inaugural webmaster and architect of the ASID-California Los Angeles website.
A philanthropic contribution and voluntary term as project director for the interior design of the Los Angeles Free Clinic (a cost-free medical clinic) rewarded his design team the First Place National Award for community service design and a “1000 Points of Light”, a U.S. Presidential Citation.
Mr. Beardsley is a Medal Recipient of the ASID Los Angeles Chapter, its highest honor, and he has been honored in the roll of float judge for the famous Tournament of Roses Parade. Representing the Ritz Carlton, Mr. Beardsley has previously executed float designs for the famous event.

Expert colorists of the Beardsley/Weiss team won the Sunset Magazine of Western Living/ASID-First Place Design Award for the most exciting use of color. The winning entry employs the use of riveting color juxtaposed to a background of saturated earth-tones and polished concrete floors.
Computerized flatscreen touch pad control panels turn this chic den environment into a stunning home theater entertainment  center.

Custom designed furnishings connect world class architecture and art into a seamless statement of simplicity and style.
With trend setting style, this beach house project was awarded a trophy from ASID Los Angeles for a residential space over 3500 sq. ft. A stair and handrail design is one of our favorites.

Corporate hallways were renovated with a creative paint scheme and three dimensional graphics depicting the history of a food distribution company with a series of notable logos selected by teaming with executives in building corporate identity and branding.
The renovation of an outdated employee cafeteria generated a cool hangout spot for staff at meal breaks by incorporating colorful stacking chairs and large graphic murals which employees jest as the Flintstone bones – hence the Bones Café.

Mid-century style gave a second life to a classic Southern California Bungalow.

Beyond the boundries of  interior space, open-air entertaining and contemplative teraces connect man's space with that of nature.
White out-of-door fabrics were used to enhance the usability of this broadcast executive’s entertainment retreat just off a pool terrace.
A classic California Monterey Colonial dwelling was enlivened with bold color; working hand in hand with a television executive who had a passion for fine detail for this restoration undertaking.
Stylish lobby concepts were developed from strategic planning sessions with owners of a condominium complex who wanted to upgrade their common investment.
