Designer Profile

I decided to become an interior designer when I was nine years old. I studied art and design all of my life and always had an affinity for modern design. I studied the work of the European modernist architects and Frank Lloyd Wright all of my life as well. In 1999, I purchased Peter Lawford's former home on the thirtieth floor of the famous Sierra Towers at Beverly Hills. Sierra Towers is home to many of Hollywood’s most famous stars. Sidney Poitier, Joan Collins, Cher, George Hamilton, Dian Carol, were some of the stars residing at the tower. My unit turned out so well, that I was elected to the board of directors of the building, and designed its huge lobby, and planed the exterior design of the buildings colors and landscaping.

I work in a wide range design styles. I enjoy classic traditional design, as well as mid-century and international styles. Each of my design plans varies according to the client. The client is the subject of the design. I make my clients the focal point of my designs, there dreams and needs for a space is my focus and from which I draw most of my inspiration. The architecture is then factored in and carefully considered for the design solution. I always consider what the architect intended for the interior design concept and build from there. I then program in the function of the space according to the clients intentions and needs.

My style is unique by virtue of this quality. Many designers working today place there own ideas about how a space should be above the clients. I am always happy to defer to the architecture and the client in lieu of my own wishes. I consider my design to be minimalist in terms of the appearance and outcome, but very complex in terms of planning. I subscribe to the motto “ God is in the details” and “ Less is more.” Whether it is modern or traditional, my designs are svelte clean and pristine.
