Award winning and published designer, Jean Zinner, founder of JAZ Designs, Inc. specializes in unique, livable custom interior design and remodeling. Since 1982, Jean has skillfully created environments for her clients’ style and tastes from concept to completion throughout Los Angeles, West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and the San Fernando Valley.

She specializes in all Interior Design styles with a flair for Spanish Colonial, European Traditional, American Classical and California Contemporary. Jean believes that relationships and teamwork come first, and has a unique communication process that is the foundation of her approach to interior design creating wonderful residential and commercial spaces.

Jean Zinner was born in Highland Park, IL and moved to Los Angeles as a young girl. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and a Certified Interior Designer (CID). Jean is a past board member of ASID. For her outstanding support of interior design education, Jean received the Dorothy Peterson award, one of the ASID’s most prestigious awards.

Jean has been selected numerous times as a designer for Beverly Hills Garden & Design Showcase at Greystone Estate, the Beverly Hills Classic Antique Show and Heritage Square.

An elegant dining room with two separate distressed alder tables, that become one table for large parties. Indoor/Outdoor living at its finest, evoking a very intimate feeling.
The entry hall sets the theme of the entire home. The multi-color needle point rug, three drawer English cabinet, and antique framed mirror invites one into the home.
Soft, natural colors give this guest room a sense of elegance. The room is complimented by medium stained, distressed wood floors, white finished painted built-ins with a formica top and contemporary art work.
The dining room has a European inspired iron and crystal chandelier with stripe stationary drapes and shades on an iron rod which lead to an outside patio letting in the natural light. The English furniture and contemporary art is a wonderful blend.

A reproduction of an authentic Malibu Potteries table forms the focal point of the living room. The Adamson House inspired wall stenciling. 19th Century Iron Mexican sconces complete the room.
Old World Sophistication meets Upper East Side Manhattan with a mirrored ebony antiqued screen, chaise lounge covered in gold white striped silk and a black and gold motif wool area rug. The red walls are faux finished in a striking striae and finish the room.
The living room is monochromatic, a soft palette with shades of vanilla, accented by dark woods and eclectic, worldly accessories and art. The visual and tactile interest in the room adds layers of texture
A unique mix of colors with a limestone and wrought iron chandelier with hand glazed California and Malibu reproduction tile. Wood usage combines popular painted cabinets, stained blue knotty pine island and pecan flooring.
Moroccan wall tile surrounds Spanish paver tile floors with a dark wax finish. The cabinets feature a recessed panel door with rope detailing. Iron and crystal chandeliers and sconces highlight gold hue walls and arch detailing.
White recessed cabinet doors, a traditional center island with a dark-stained butcher block is accented with stainless steel appliances and soapstone counter tops. An arch over the kitchen sink and upper glass cabinet doors complete the kitchen.

A reverse-painted Peruvian mirror is suspended above an Argentinean console and hammered tin sink. The central motif of the gold tumbled marble floor features a Spanish cross and a pony wall divides the space.
