Helga Weiss, ASID is a senior partner and managing director of the award winning design firm BEARDSLEY/WEISS LLC. With an emphasis on art and adventuresome style, the firm provides creative consultation services for interior design, architecture, structural engineering, landscape planning, estate management, custom lighting and furniture design.
With client driven goals, the firm’s design specialties include expert execution of residences, vacation retreats, corporate office space, medical office space, retail outlets and boutique stores. Special projects have included car dealerships, restaurants, churches and sanctuaries, custom furniture and product design.
Ms. Weiss, partner of the multi-faceted design team, is a winner of numerous design awards including Sunset Magazine of Western Living/ASID, First Place residential awards in two categories for the best use of color and most compelling single space. Another First Place Award granted by ASID-California Los Angeles for Commercial Design was acquired for a 10,000 square foot sanctuary for the New Harvest Christian Fellowship commission.
Projects have been regularly featured on television design programs for House and Garden TV, the Style Network, Breathing Room and Evening News features. Helga attributes her professional success to the management skills she has developed with twenty-five years of experience and the leadership training she has gained as a previous president of the American Society of Interior Designers, Los Angeles.
Recognized by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) as attaining the highest level of professional status, Helga was one of the first designers to pass the rigorous California Codes exam. The exam qualifies interior designers in the state as Certified Interior Designer (CID) and is the most comprehensive qualifier in the country. As a consequence of her expert knowledge, she has been regularly employed as a juror for the NCIDQ exams and provides legal expert witness services regarding design issues for the courts of Los Angeles.

World famous art takes center stage in this residence of exquisite detail. The design approach was one that embraces the relationships between art, architecture and interiors in a seamless relationship with one another.
With a nod to a grand Modern style, this Benedict Canyon estate was reconfigured to engender relaxation. The simple and orderly use of materials exemplifies the sentiment that it is not always the use of exclusive materials that accompany style but rather the relationship of their parts.

A classic California Monterey Colonial dwelling was enlivened with bold color; working hand in hand with a television executive who had a passion for fine detail for this restoration undertaking.

The design philosophy, evident in all Beardsley/Weiss projects, that there should be a seamless transition between a designed environment and it’s surroundings.
