Interior Designer/Space Planner
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Laura has been providing professional interior design services to clients for over eleven years. Laura has completed many residential and commercial design-build projects which include homes, restaurants, executive offices, private airport hangers, multi-family condominiums, and mixed-use retail. Laura is a graduate of the prestigious UCLA ARC_ID Interior Architecture and Design Professional Designation Certification Program, a published children’s book author and illustrator, and Owner of FOUR POINT Design+Construction Inc. During the years prior to earning a formal interior architecture and design certification, Laura’s lifelong passion for “fixer-uppers” led her to successfully purchase, design, remodel, and sell over five residential real estate properties. Laura was also President and Co-Founder/Owner of the trademark brand Koko Originals TM, a unique line of children’s collectibles, books, and home décor. As brand/product designer and director of new product development, the company achieved sales of $5.5 million by the second year of international distribution. In addition, Laura boasts an extensive professional and passionate background in theatrical set, costume, and lighting design and construction.

Inspired by the English countryside, classic movies, and extreme architecture, Laura describes her classic signature design style as eco-conscious rural modern chic, elegant country, and coastal contemporary. Laura places great emphasis on customizing her design work to meet her clients’ personal needs, style, and taste. She blends creativity, experience, and skill to introduce her signature style throughout her work in both residential and commercial interiors, infusing it with a timeless charisma.

Cliff Muller, HIC
General Contractor/Construction Consultant
Cliff, a multi-award winning and published General Contractor, brings over 25 years of diverse and expansive construction knowledge and experience to FOURPOINT. Cliff is certified by the Center for Design Technology, a graduate with distinction of the prestigious UCLA Extension Professional Designation Construction Management Program, and a certified teacher of Industrial Arts. As a President and Principal Construction Manager, Cliff has successfully completed hundreds of projects in Los Angeles ranging from unique and architecturally complex residential estates and multi-family apartment complexes, to large multi-story commercial office building and tenant improvements. This experience and extensive hands-on knowledge of the California region and specifically the California Building Codes as it applies to construction in California provides depth and value to every project.

Following five years of successful creative collaboration on diverse design-build projects in Los Angeles, CA, Interior Designer and General Contractor, Laura Schwartz-Muller and Cliff Muller, have joined together to offer clients a full and complete range of residential and commercial interior design and construction services from concept to turnkey, including image branding through design, space and project planning, CAD services and construction documents, architectural rendering, general contracting, new construction, tenant improvement, and custom interior architecture and design. Specialized consulting services also include color and textile coordination and application, construction management, conflict resolution and mediation, Home Owners Association board representation, expert witness, and plan check and review.

Laura and Cliff bring their combined unique skill set to every residential and commercial project, specializing not only in the design and construction of the visual aesthetics, but in generating, coordinating and maintaining documents, timelines, schedules, budgets and construction quality throughout the entire project to completion. Our fee structures are tailored to each individual and their project. Fees can vary from a weekly or monthly fee for long term construction projects, or for smaller projects, an hourly fee can be arranged. Fee structures are dependent on the individual scope of work for each project. Flat rates for in home consulting services are also available.

Historic Greystone Mansion - Laura Muller / Interior Designer / Project Manager. Inspired by the homes’ original 1920’s architecture, and period color and theme, these rooms were restored and refinished and ultimately presented to the public in the Greystone Mansion Garden and Design Showcase. Linen Closet: This beautiful room was designed within the “servant’s wing” to reflect its original glory and purpose. This room originally served as a “hub” of housekeeping activity which served the main house. The crisp white, fully restored cabinet details offset by the cool grey/green tone, hand-finished, plaster walls, and fully restored solid mahogany countertops in rich chocolate, makes this room is a dream…even today!

Butler’s Quarters: This room was designed within the “servant’s wing” for the Head Butler in sumptuous warm tones, fabrics, colors, and design details which reflect the Butler’s love of painting, reading, and Teatime. It is a moody, comforting, and purposeful refuge at the end of the day.
