CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE for Luxury-to-the-Trade Showroom

A multi-line showroom featuring furniture, fabrics, lighting and accessories is looking for a mature and experienced full time Customer Service Representative.  A background in the field of interior design, fashion and/or art is highly desired.  Experience dealing with high-end customers is preferred.   Furniture and textile knowledge and familiarity are desired.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to effectively manage themselves as well as the work flow and expectations of their team members.  Applicants must be comfortable taking initiative, being pro-active and accountable while also providing strong support for the showroom and sales team.

Customer Service Representatives work closely with customers, suppliers, sales staff, purchasing agents and freight companies to track, facilitate, and expedite orders.  They are involved with orders from placement until successful installation.  Customer Service Representatives review orders for completeness and accuracy, contact customers and suppliers regarding status, shipping methods and lead times, and negotiate solutions to challenges.  The customer service process varies, depending on the manufacturer and the product being ordered.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Collaborative, positive and professional style
  • PC computer skills—Word, Excel, Outlook.  IMPACT knowledge helpful.
